Depression doesn’t speak the truth about our worth

For those of you who suffer with depression and a mental illness, you know how awful the struggle is when you are constantly battling those thoughts that keep bringing you down.

Depression doesn’t speak the truth about our worth. Depression is brutally destructive.

For those of you who have suffered childhood abuse/trauma, the only thing depression does, is tell you that something is seriously wrong. It tells you that you suffered something that you shouldn’t have, it acts as warning. Mental & physical trauma causes depression, chronic stress and other mental illnesses, which can consequently lead to physical illness.

Physical Effects

Complex Trauma is associated with many chronic conditions and diseases. These include:

  • Heart disease
  • Liver disease
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Dementia
  • High blood pressure
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Other chronic pain conditions
